Solitaire is a narrative experiment that exploits the fun of a game and the challenge and satisfaction of telling a good story. Each card in the Solitaire deck contains an illustration and a short text. The user selects the texts he/she likes and clicks on the text: "Add this line". The selected text is automatically moved to the right side of the page, where the user can see it and the texts selected thereafter in the order in which they were selected.

by Neil Zusman

Pulse.Time is cinema made exclusively for the World Wide Web. It is written in a language that allows the viewer to participate in the construction of unique musical and visual combinations. The rituals of making marks and layering the objects in collage are planned to occur and be transformed with every viewing. Joined together in a "suite," these recombinant poems reflect my compostional strategies.
Pedestrian: Walking as Meditation and the Lure of Everyday Objects Logo Pedestrian: Walking as Meditation and the Lure of Everyday Objects
by Annette Weintraub

"The City is an addictive machine from which there is no escape." (Rem Koolhaus in Delerious New York.) In Pedestrian, a walk through the City becomes the trigger of a rambling meditation on space, time and the urban environment seen through chance encounters with evocative objects. It provides an occasion to examine the hidden meanings of the ordinary.
byProxy Logo byProxy
by Mike Mittelman
with funds from the Heathcote Foundation

The concept for byProxy came from Mittelman's fascination with the new languages and forms of communication that have come out of the vast communities of the internet. There are many limitations inherent in real-time textual communication, and the new icons, proxies, abbreviations and standards that have emerged are quickly expanding our cultural possibilities. byProxy reflects the recent trend in communication, especially in online communities, in which clarity is sacrificed for speed. This often takes the form of proxies, which speak on your behalf, but do not always say exactly what you mean.
